Other Ohio residents may call the Ohio State Long Term Care Ombudsman at 800/ 282-1206 for a referral to their regional long term care ombudsman program, or visit oarltco.org to learn about the Ohio Association of Regional Long Term Care Ombudsmen--and for links to other long term care resources.

The Ohio Long Term Care Consumer Guide website (ltcohio.org) contains information on nursing homes in Ohio: the results of the family and resident satisfaction surveys, details of the deficiencies cited in the annual surveys of the Department of Health, and related data entered by the facilities.

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services publishes Nursing Home Compare (medicare.gov), which includes summaries of Ohio Department of Health annual and complaint surveys of Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing homes. It also includes resident characteristics, staffing information, and for Ohio and five other states, Quality Measures.
